It's sad when friends disappear completely beyond your reach.
At least this time we had a chance to say thank you and goodbye.

I'm glad as well.
I understand that there are situations when someone decides to just leave, but simple 'I'm leaving, goodbye' would give you information/warning that something's going on. Finding deleted journal/account/group/etc. is really not pleasant.
Unfortunately we can't do much about that.
